Well, I missed March. Boo! Life was crazy, and still is. However, I managed to find a great opportunity shoot something I feel very lucky to have in my life.
On the weekends, we spend a lot of time around the dining room table. It's the one area of the house that I can manage to keep the floor picked up, for at least a few minutes. I'm so glad I stood back, let the kids do their thing and capture the whole thing with my camera.

And of course it wouldn't be a house with 3 kids without a little fighting.

This 10 on 10 came at the perfect time! My daughter started Tap/Ballet in September and Gymnastics just 3 weeks ago. Well this past week was parent watch week. Normally, we're reduced to peeking under the door to see what the girls are doing, but this week we got to sit in on class and see all the hard work in action!
Yes, I realize some of these photos aren't the best technically, but I am still so happy to have them and couldn't be prouder of my, not anything like her mother, graceful sweetie pie.
I remember the parachute from gym class as a kid....so much fun!! They get to do this at the end of class and all the girls get such a kick out of it.
Thanks so much for stopping by. Please check out Christina Tower's 10 on 10 Blog post and leave her some love! See ya next month!!

It was an absolutely beautiful day! Instead of chasing the kids around with the camera, I decided to sit down and just document the kids running around me! I focused on this little tractor, just shot the kids doing their little kid thing. There are a lot, but I love each and every one of them! Click on any image to see a larger version.

In an effort to get shooting again, I've decided to join a great group of photographers and document the 10th day of the month with 10 photos from my day.
On the 10th of January, I had two sick kiddos. Nothing serious, but it required a lot of diaper changes but the extra snuggles made it so worth it.

Like so many other moms out there, my day MUST begin with my favorite appliance in the kitchen. Just thinking about it, I want to go to bed just wake up to that groggy first sip. Ahhh, Can you tell I love coffee?

I woke up to an amazing gift from an even more amazing friend. She sent me a gorgeous pair of earrings. More than the material, I loved that I got to chat with her first thing. She is truly my BFF.
This is my oldest princess, with her prettiest skirt, gingerly slipping on her sparkly soles. She is so fantastically girly.

This just proves that through all the bickering, tugging over toys, cup of milk thieving, attention vying, and scene stealing that they really do love each other. Times like these, my heart skips a beat and I tear up thinking about them growing up together. They'll be each other's best friends and my hope is that though they may...no, WILL fight, they'll never be enemies.

Next up...Lunch.

She doesn't have much hair, but that little swirl of a curl makes me giddy. I know that once her hair grows out, it will be gone and she'll have bone straight hair like myself and her sister. I'll savor this little curl as long as she has it.
See that little curl?
Having a sick day also provided a great opportunity for my little man to get his hair cut. We have a fantastic stylist that visits the house to cut the kid's hair. She is a blessing for a mother of a child that is not fond of strange people and different situations. I was so proud that he sat on the stool all by himself! Most haircuts end with me being covered in tiny blond hairs because not only will he not sit alone, he also won't wear a smock. Thank goodness for lollipops and brightly colored combs.

I cannot wait to edit and show the rest of these! I hope mom & dad love them!  They have created a beautiful family (along with big brother Louie, on the left).

On September 9th 2011, my 2nd daughter was born. It was an absolutely crazy day and I wouldn't have changed a single second of it. (well, perhaps I'd have my husband with us, rather than 7000 miles away.

Well, today we were all together again and we celebrated her 1st Birthday. She's grown so much, over the past year. Every day I see more and more of her personality shining through. (sometimes it's tough due to the speed of our lives and kids whirring around us) Look at this photo (below) and tell me this girl doesn't have SASS! I just can't get enough of her. Just when I think she couldn't possibly get better, she does. I love her with every beat of my heart.

I had the pleasure of meeting baby Emilio when he was just 10 hours young. He was sleeping when I got there and never seemed to mind me being in his face with my big bulky camera.
When he woke up, he was so alert and soaking everything in. Babies like him just make my heart turn to goo. (just ask his mother, I started crying as soon as I laid my eyes on him. So.stinkin.sweet.

In just a few short days I will get the opportunity to photograph him again, and I couldn't be more excited!

I can't believe how quickly this year has passed us by. I can't believe that little Brady was just her age when she was born. It seems like he's always been running around and talking my face off. I know I'm a little biased, but my kids are the greatest!

(well, as quiet as it can be for having 4 kids running amuck) The move is complete and we're pretty well settled in. I haven't shot in a while, aside from Timorah Beales allowing me to shoot her headshot for the upcoming Military Spouse Magazine. Be on the look out for it next month! Getting these few shots in was such a relief. Not being able to shoot, even though it is just my children, is torturous. I never thought of myself as a creative, but after having to abstain, I realize that I want to create, I need it on some level. Above all else, I love it.
